When people ask where we live, we tell them on the West end of Pelican. Usually we hear "Oh, is that the house with the dog in the window". Well, Jackie isn't the only thing in the window now. YIKES!

SightSpeed

I have to say I'm digging http://www.sightspeed.com It's a one-to-one video conference tool. My friend Patti did the research and said it's better than Skype. I just think it's great for my Mom and Dad to see Amika. Maybe they want to see Joel and I too (doubtful). If you decide to sign up my handle is: prendere.

Christmas 08

Wow! Mom and Dad were very happy to be home and in their own beds! We slept until 7:45am. That includes Amika too. That being said we had a great time visiting with family. We laughed and giggled and ate lots of great food. Thank you for everyone who hosted us during our stay.

December Blizzard???

There is talk of a Blizzard this weekend. WHOHOOO! We still haven't heard about the red mini-van yet. We found out all this time we were paying comp/libility for insurance on a 1998 vehicle. Geeesh! I thought for sure I had it switched but I guess this is a blessing in disguise. With the big three bail-out crisis maybe this year end is a good time to buy a car. The new computer will be coming next week, then I can finish video's and Christmas cards. The public library is the place to finish your school papers. I'm almost done this semester but for one online test. YIPEE!

Waiting for the Third Shoe to Drop

My sister-in-law jinxed us I'm sure. She said "you know things happen in three's"... So, last night the computer went down. It's goner. I am hoping we will be able to transfer all the "stuff" over to the new computer. If not, you will hear me crying from Washington State...

Have I mentioned how much I love being back in the school? I just LOVE working with these Fifth graders.

If you look closely in the picture you will see a "No Hunting" sign. Good thing it didn't say "No Trespassing". Joel is sore in places and we aren't sure what we are going to do with the mini-van yet. We will be a one car family for awhile I guess. BUT, it could have been worse and we are thankful!
