Okay, so perhaps I was just a little excited to see the movie Hairspray. I went with another couple and I was the mascot. I'm in love with Zac Efron. He's just so dreamy.

Summer Close to the End

I can't believe how fast the season is going. We had a great time on Pelican Lake and the family video will show that. Lots of laughter.

I planned on making a summer trip to the Black Hills this year... it worked out that I could pic up Katie and Seth from Bismarck and bring them with me. We entered Sturgis during the Bike Week. Now that's entertainment for a 7th grader and a Junior. Their Mom and Dad came later in the week and we visited Mt. Rushmore on Saturday.

John, Kim and the girls Jess and Sam just came back from a family vacation down south. We only got to see them on Tuesday night before I left. Wow, time does not stand still. Those girls are a hoot.


Uncle Mike paid the Hills a visit. Lilly and Gus just love him. :-)

The next generation of cousins is having a great time.

Interesting Book

Well, now that I have read this book I'd like to take "The Devil in the White City" Tour. I've had some time on my hands after having Carpal Tunnel Surgery this last Tuesday. It all happened fast but I'm glad it's done. So, next June LOOK OUT. I'm ready to tackle downtown for all it's worth. :-)

Dancing Duck

The lil duck on the right is our own Lilith Ann. This pic was in the meade county times/tribune newspaper. She's hit the big time. You will notice the perfect dancing duck stance of my neice and the other girl looking and Lilly wondering "how can I do what she does?".

Sad News

I think the mama finch is dead. Haven't seen her for a week. :-( I asked Joel if he wanted to sit on the eggs until they hatched... you guess his response.

The House Finch Saga...

At least I think this is a house finch. I looked it up at the library. April 29th was when the first two pics were taken. May 7th for the third and TODAY May 13th for the last. Mom must have moved the eggs around..or maybe they are getting ready to hatch...Isn't nature interesting.

Third Week Reconstruction

Joel and I were busy lil' loons. Started at 9am took a 90 minutes break to buy supplies at Menards...then I quit at 5:30pm. Joel is over at the neighbors picking branches. It will an ibuprofen and ice cocktail this evening.

Second week of reconstruction.

So, what is a silt fence going to do in this situation?? We are totally clueless on how this is going to work. Check out those big honkin rocks!! Those were a bear to move. I did some in the beginning and then I I played the whimpy female and told Joel what big muscles he had.
